Hello, I'm Kate and welcome to the new Treeside Alpacas' blog, keeping you up to date on all the happenings here at Treeside.

Watch this space for an exciting new announcement!

First we thought we would introduce you to our beautiful boys. Here they are with me, Matthew and Alice

Our 4 alpacas are gelded males who all came from the same herd and so have formed a very tight knit group. Within this group they all have their roles and personalities that really shine when you spend time with them.

First we have Kimbo. Here he is at The Yorkshire Show:

Kimbo is the leader of the group. He is always the first in the trekking line, and where he goes the others follow. He might be the leader but he is also a big softie who enjoys attention from all our visitors.

Next is Ambo. Here he is with Nigel:

Ambo is Kimbo's second in command. He walks alongside Kimbo upfront and is our noisiest alpaca. He makes his distinctive humming noise to make sure everyone is ok and keeping up.

Our third Alpaca is Wellington, this is him in the show pen at The Yorkshire Show:

Wellington is distinctive because of his ever growing fringe! Even with regular hair cuts it remains long, fortunately we know he can see still. Wellington is in the middle of the pack and our smallest alpaca. He spends a lot of the walk looking for the next thing to eat! He sure loves his food.

Our final alpaca is Nelson, who is enjoying a sit down here:

Nelson is the tallest of our alpacas but also the shy one. He takes his place at the back of the pack, preferring to walk away from lots of people. He prefers some one on one attention and once you have gained his trust he is a real sweetie. He loves being scratched behind the ear!

That's it! A brief look at our 4 boys. Spending time with them really brings out their personalities and everyone who visits goes away with a favourite.
