A birthday with Treeside!

Today Treeside alpacas helped Matthew celebrate his birthday. The sun was shining on this beautiful Sunday afternoon and we all enjoyed a lovely walk.

Half way round the trek is the perfect picture opportunity.

After the trek the boys have a little treat and get some Alpaca feed that helps keeps their fleece looking healthy.

The new boys begin their training.

Alice gets to know Bruno

Today our new alpacas began their training. Ambo, Kimbo, Wellington and Nelson took around 6 months to become halter trained and about a year until they were at the level they are now. The 4 original alpacas now walk brilliantly with whoever comes to visit. I wonder if Bomber, Bruno, Bailey and Chester will do as well as their new friends did.

Here we have them haltered up and ready to go. Chester is the white one on the far right then we have Bailey, Bruno and finally Bomber. Here are some pictures of the first walk.

It's not all fun and games. Alice getting her hands dirty.

Overall the boys did really well and will be up to scratch in no time. They are still being kept separate from the others but they seem to be getting on well over the fence separating them.

Hello again. Slight delay in posting but we're back! In the last post I mentioned an exciting announcement you should stay tuned for...

Here it is!

I am proud to introduce the 4 new members of the Treeside family. Chester, Bruno, Bomber and Bailey.

Not a fantastic picture but here they are getting used to their new home.

They say a quick hello... Then get on with eating lunch provided by Rosanne and Alice.

Well there we go... 4 become 8. Here at Treeside we are all excited to see how the pack changes, who takes what role and what new personalities the new boys bring to the mix. Stay tuned for more news and adorable pictures.
