Alice gets to know Bruno |
Today our new alpacas began their training. Ambo, Kimbo, Wellington and Nelson took around 6 months to become halter trained and about a year until they were at the level they are now. The 4 original alpacas now walk brilliantly with whoever comes to visit. I wonder if Bomber, Bruno, Bailey and Chester will do as well as their new friends did.
Here we have them haltered up and ready to go. Chester is the white one on the far right then we have Bailey, Bruno and finally Bomber. Here are some pictures of the first walk.

It's not all fun and games. Alice getting her hands dirty. |
Overall the boys did really well and will be up to scratch in no time. They are still being kept separate from the others but they seem to be getting on well over the fence separating them.
Watch this space for more information on how the boys are doing and all the news at Treeside.
